Nisa Premier Hospital
Our History
Nisa Premier Hospital was founded in 1996 by Dr. Ibrahim Wada, an internationally acclaimed Gynaecologist and fertility expert. The hospital started in a 3 bedroom flat in Gwagwalada, a satellite town in the FCT with just 8 beds. 16 years later, Nisa hospital is housed in 3 storey building complex with modern hospital fittings of international standards and over 50 beds for in-patients alone. The hospital provides first class services to its patients and offshore facilities for its international partners working in Nigeria.
Nisa Premier Hospital made history with the birth of the 1st government authenticated In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in 1998 with the birth of baby Hannatu. Since then, over 1000 test tube babies have been delivered in the hospital using the (IVF) technique. From this point onwards, the main stream Nisa Premier hospital has been refocused to become one of the most prestigious private medical general practice hospitals in Nigeria, with bias for obstetrics & gynaecology, and pediatrics.
From an 8 bedded beginning, Nisa Premier has grown to about 100 plus bedded high profile hospital of choice in Abuja. The hospital has witnessed its tremendous expansion since relocating from Gwagwalada in year 2000 to its site at numbers 15 – 21 Alex Ekwueme Way, Jabi. Our current effort in this expansion is the construction of an edifice to cater for the interest of our high net worth patients where healthcare services will be provided at no stress, now completed is the ultramodern Nisa Fertility Institute with a lift installed with modern equipment, furniture and fittings from entrance to the reception, wards and theaters.

Physical Growth
Nisa Premier Hospital started in 1996 in a 3 bedroom flat in Gwagwalada, a satellite town in the FCT with just 8 beds. Sixteen years later, the hospital is housed in three main buildings in Jabi with a third twice the size of the first two buildings. There are now over 200 plus beds for in-patients alone. The new block provides first-class services to our patients and offshore facilities for our international partners to work in Nigeria.

Public Private Partnership
Nisa pioneered the first tryout by the government at a public-private partnership in 2007. It became the preferred private hospital under a Concession Agreement to manage Garki Hospital owned by the Federal Capital Administration. Within the past three years, Nisa Group has transformed Garki Hospital into a pacesetter of modern medicine in Nigeria.
